Prof. Dr. Ruhwedel started her career in the Corporate Development/M&A division of thyssenkrupp Steel AG in 2004 before she joined Corporate M&A of thyssenkrupp AG in 2005. In 2007, she became professor of Accounting and Controlling at FOM University before she joined Rhine-Waal University as a professor of Accounting and Finance in 2013 until now. She is a member of the Supervisory Boards and Audit Committees of National-Bank AG, Essen, United Internet AG, Montabaur and Verve Group SE, Stockholm. After an apprenticeship at Commerzbank AG, Prof. Dr. Ruhwedel studied business administration in Münster and completed her education with a dissertation at the Ruhr University in Bochum. In addition, she holds a certificate as Sustainability Manager (TÜV Nord).
